Born and raised in Silverton Oregon, I have always had a love for the Willamette Valley. My local roots go back to the 1890’s when my relatives homesteaded on Selah Springs Rd just South of Silverton. My family is fortunate to call this road home today. Luck struck me in 2002 when I married my wife Whitney. We have three amazing children, Bryn, Cole and Sam. 

I graduated from Silverton High School in 1994 and went right into the school of hard knocks working in our family business, which was founded by my parents in 1971. By following their example & work ethic they instilled in me from a very young age, I worked my way up from head floor sweeper up to the boardroom.  I have learned the importance of honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic. I strive to live by those values today.

Outside of occupying my time working in real estate, you may find me working on our small farm at home. In 2014, Whitney and I started Ulven Farms, where we are growing 18 acres of Hazelnuts, as well as raising high quality American Aberdeen Angus beef, heritage pork, chicken, and free-range eggs for ourselves and others. We all call the family farm home. We enjoy watching our kids learn the value of hard work as they help out with chores on the farm.  Who didn’t learn work ethic by chopping wood for the winter? When I have free time, you will find me in the great outdoors, hiking, hunting, fishing and camping with the family.

I find value in giving back. I currently volunteer serving on the Legacy Silverton Hospital board of trustees, as well as being an associate with the Mt Angel Oktoberfest.
